20/06/2008 - Participant News- Mati Nõmmiste, Rimess, Estonia re-assigned to Estonian Board of Auditors

Mati Nõmmiste, Chairman of the Management Board of Rimess, Estonia, has been reassigned to the Management Board of the Estonian Board of Auditors 
 

The 2008 general meeting of the Estonian Board of Auditors elected Mati Nõmmiste to their Management Board for the fourth term. The 9 members of the Management Board are selected for a three-year term.

Mati Nõmmiste has been actively participating in the management of the Estonian Board of Auditors and its predecessor Council of Auditor Activities since 1995.

The Estonian Board of Auditors was created in 1999 with the Authorized Public Accountants Act of the Republic of Estonia, it is the institute of Estonian certified auditors and only members of the Auditing Board have the right to practice as auditors in Estonia. The Estonian Board of Auditors is a self-governing professional association of Estonian auditors, which organises the professional activities and protects the rights of auditors. Currently the members of the Board of Auditors number approximately 400. 

Rimess ranks as the fourth largest audit and consulting company in Estonia, measured by turnover. At the current moment Rimess has in total five offices in three Baltic States. Rimess has 9 partners and employs about 130 professionals. The estimated turnover for 2008 will be 3,6 mil euros. 

Rimess is an associate member of Praxity and correspondent member of Mazars.
