We’re delighted to report that Praxity – the world’s largest alliance of independent accountancy firms – has been named Association of the Year 2017 at The Accountant and International Accounting Bulletin Awards, for the second consecutive year and the third time in its ten-year history.
This year’s award is a timely celebration of the Alliance’s decade of consistent growth since its foundation in 2007, reaffirming its position as the No. 1 alliance for independent accounting and consulting firms.
Record global revenues for 2016 firmly cemented Praxity’s position as the world’s largest alliance, reflecting the continued strength of its 64 expertise-sharing participant firms in more than 100 countries – combined global revenues of its participant firms hit US$4.75 billion for the year to 31 December. Praxity has already enjoyed recognition as IAB’s Association of the Year in 2016 and 2014, and Rising Star Association in 2013.
“This is a great way to mark our tenth anniversary” said Hilton Saven, Praxity’s Chairman, reflecting on what’s been accomplished and how the strength of the Alliance and activities of participant firms continues to elevate its global offering. “This award is testament to more than 40,000 worldwide experts and partners at participant firms and the continued success of the Alliance demonstrates their commitment to sharing expertise across international borders and delivering world class service at a local level.”
This year judges once again praised the Alliance for its “outstanding progress, support and knowledge sharing on a global level”.
For Praxity's Executive Director Græme Gordon this is not the end of the story. “We’re delighted with the result of our collective endeavours over the past 10 years but will continue developing our platform for participant firms to connect and share international expertise, seamlessly and cost-effectively – embracing our distinctive resources and expertise, championing our firms’ independence to help us keep fit for the future, ready to continue making a world of difference for our clients. Here’s to the next ten years!”
Praxity was again also shortlisted for Communication of the Year, reflecting the strength of its ongoing programme to update its suite of business development support and thought-leading insight.
