Praxity's Global Conference 2022: Putting the X in PraXity

Praxity's Global Conference in New Orleans delivered the X Factor to delegates from across the Alliance

Praxity’s Global Conference New Orleans delivers the ultimate eXperience

This years Global Conference in New Orleans, one of the highlights in the Praxity calendar, started eXceptionally well with the ‘welcome dinner’ on Sunday evening which provided the perfect platform for member firms from across the Alliance to connect again with friends and colleagues, the first time in three years.

George Simon, Managing Director at Praxity member firm FORVIS and MC for the event, welcomed delegates from over 30 countries and set the scene on day one for two days of insightful content including updates on the Alliance strategy and working group activity and an introduction to the US from Matt Snow, Chairman: and Tom Watson CEO of host member firm FORVIS. Specialist speakers from across the Alliance shared their expertise and delivered thought provoking and interactive presentations focusing on Praxity’s X Factor, Firm Experience, Client Experience, Employee Experience and Digital Experience and how these contribute to Praxity’s overall strategic plan.

Numerous networking opportunities

In between these valuable sessions delegates had the opportunity to mix and mingle, make new friends, and catch up with old ones. There was an interactive session run by Louisa Moreton of FGS Global, which sparked significant conversation and numerous ‘Post It Notes’. Delegates collated their ideas on how to move forward with a ‘Charter of Engagement’ for member firms.

World class speakers

On day one, delegates were given a glimpse of the world’s current economic situation through another lens by Expert Economic Forecaster, Former Chief Economist for CNBC and Co-Host of Squawk Box, Marci Rossell.

Steffen Ahrens, Partner at FALK and member of Praxity’s Management Board, introduced keynote speaker Eric Gregg, Founder and CEO of Clearly Rated. Eric founded his firm to help organisations put client experience at the centre of their strategies. A recording of Eric’s session will be available to Praxity member firms to reference from 7th November 2022 via Channel Praxity.

Motivational speaker Charles Clark rounded up the conference by sharing his experiences as an international athlete and how he overcame injury to rank as one of the best track and field athletes in the world, he shared tips on “living to make a difference” and how having that attitude can positively impact clients, and fellow employees and business associates.

We had a roaring good time

A Gala dinner at Elms Mansion and a 1920’s themed Farewell dinner at Chicory, where everyone got to dress in traditional 1920’s costume and dance the night away, gave delegates more opportunity to catch up with Praxity friends in beautiful surroundings with fabulous food and entertainment.

There was no lack of entertainment for companions either as they embarked on trips to Oak Alley Plantation and a Voodoo tour around the French Quarter. They jumped aboard an air boat for a Louisiana swamp tour and some Alligator watching.

Global Conference 2022, was certainly a spectacular event to remember, look out for a full in-depth round up of this conference and the North American International Tax Conference in the next edition of HUB Lite due to be published on 1st December 2022.

In the meantime, we’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated in our conference and look forward to welcoming you all again next year in Rome.
