Praxity wins thought leadership award

Praxity has won Thought Leadership Initiative of the Year 2020 for its unrivalled insight and support during the pandemic.

Judges praised Praxity’s detailed Covid-19 guide which provides “extensive information across G20 countries” to help businesses respond to the crisis.

The award-winning guide contains valuable information on the tax implications of Covid-19 and the government loans and support available in different territories around the world.

Updated weekly, the guide helps Praxity member firms – and their clients – navigate the complex and fast-changing tax and finance arrangements that governments are rolling out as the pandemic unfolds.

Praxity scooped the award following a virtual meeting of the Accountant and International Accounting Bulletin Digital Accountancy Forum (DAF) on September 30.

The accolade continues Praxity’s remarkable success at the IAB event. Over the last eight years, the Alliance has won:
• Association of the Year (four times)
• Campaign of the Year
• Thought Leadership Initiative of the Year
• Rising Star of the Year

Graeme Gordon, Praxity’s CEO, said: “We are delighted to win Thought Leadership Initiative of the Year and extremely proud of our record of success in the IAB awards. This latest win is a testament to the hard work of the Praxity team to deliver informative content and also the superb collaboration within the Alliance to ensure accounting and consulting firms around the world have access to the very latest information during these difficult and fast-changing times.”

As well as honouring Praxity’s Covid-19 resource, the thought leadership award celebrates the Alliance’s proactive approach to providing new insight and support. Praxity empowers business globally through international events and topical articles covering the biggest issues in accountancy such as crisis response, digital transformation, sustainability, remote working and inclusion. The Alliance also leads on content to help firms win new business including a new PowerPoint pitch deck to help member firms’ sales pitches pop.

The 2020 IAB award caps another record-breaking year for the Alliance. In January, Praxity announced record combined global revenues of US$6.38 billion for the year ended 31 December 2019 – an increase of 9.3% in real terms. The spectacular results represent the 13th consecutive year of growth for Praxity, underlining its position as the world’s largest alliance of independent accounting and consulting firms.
